THE ENTRYWAY DOCK- WELCOMED BY THE WATERS
Guests will first dock at the pier, where they will be welcomed by towering rock formations, woven canopies, and hanging artisan lights. Sunlight refracts off the water's surface as native flutes lightly sound in the distance.
This pier will lead guests to the entrance of the lobby, where they will be greeted by porters who will take care of their luggage.
BENEATH THE STARLIGHT:
To evoke a warm, inviting atmosphere, I incorporated hanging light fixtures and colorful bioluminescent details that shimmer with life beneath the rocks.

THE LOBBY
From ideation sketches to 3D renderings and technical design packages, I designed the main experience within the lobby space. When guests enter the lobby, they will be greeted by a center atrium, where large light fixtures and seating anchor the space.
Off of the reception areas, guests will be able to explore a gift shop, quick service, and quiet lounging tucked away in corners, giving guests places to work and decompress. On the mezzanine level, guests will find a bar with seating areas and more lounging opportunities.

LIGHTING FEATURES:
Mangrove branches climb the reed walls above the reception desk, lit by rattan fixtures and pulsing LEDs that evoke the energy of the sea spirit below.
At the center of the lobby is a large stained glass window, where hues of blue and green bounce light off the walls. It frames a view of the caverns of Bahumari, guiding guests to the interactive experience.
SEATING:
Built by local artists, the seating incorporates woven fibers and "reclaimed" materials restored from Teluli’s sunken past. Pillows are embroidered with patterns inspired by Raja Ampat’s reefs, while tables are carved from petrified wood as if they’ve been shaped by the tides.
PATHWAY TO INTERACTIVE:
Before reaching the interactive experience, guests journey along winding pathways that weave through lush foliage and coves. Handwoven light fixtures dangle from towering driftwood installations, guiding the way.

LOBBY LAYOUT:
Located below is my process for spatial ideation and planning of the lobby. Starting with a loose bubble map, I included all the key experiences that would be located in this building, from socialized seating and quiet lounge areas to quick service and gift shops. I then sketched out more refined ideas, which I translated into a 3D model of the main atrium area.

ECHOES OF BAHUMARI: AN INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE
Enter the cavern of Bahumari and uncover her wondrous powers at this self-guided interactive experience. Here, the secrets of the sunken ruins will come to life through magical encounters with natural elements.
This experience guides guests through mystical scenery within the site, encouraging them to tap into Bahumari’s power and recount the legends of Teluli through various multi-sensory interactives. They can activate reactions from water, unveil hidden symbols and murals, and even touch cavern rocks to ignite a light spectacle of the city’s ancient construction.
One of the biggest challenges of creating this interactive was highlighting the technical details, which I did through experience design documents. Considering factors such as the interactive's variations, abandonment, cool down, guest capacity, integration of show systems, etc, I translated my concepts into realistic documentation.
ENVIRONMENT ACTIVATIONS- MOTION-BASED TECHNOLOGY:
Motion sensors and tracking systems will follow guests' movement, prompting reactions from set pieces and water-based activities.
ENVIRONMENT ACTIVATIONS- TOUCH-BASED TECHNOLOGY:
Through various surfaces, guests will have the opportunity to unveil hidden symbols and murals and even touch cavern rocks and waterfalls to ignite a light spectacle of the city’s ancient construction.
ENVIRONMENT ACTIVATIONS- PROJECTIONS, FIBER OPTICS & LEDS:
These elements will be used for special effects and activations, enhancing the immersivity of the atmosphere to tell the story of Teluli.

ART DIRECTION PACKAGE FOR INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE
INTERACTIVE LAYOUT:
Located below is my process for spatial ideation & planning. Starting with a loose bubble map, I placed each interactive activity in different pockets of the cavern, with the most important and involved story beat at its center.
Taking each entrance into consideration, I planned for "wet paths", placing the water-based interactives closest to the entrances/exits by the resort's pools.  I then carved out more intricate pathways within the space, using rock structures that would purposefully lead guests to each activity, ultimately encouraging autonomous navigation.
Here, guests can roam and explore freely, engage all their sensescreate their own stories, and form their own paths.

BAHUMARI'S GREETING:
Play alongside the welcoming energy of Bahumari as you explore her caverns! While guests walk across the bridges of the center lagoon, they will find subtle clusters of symbols etched beneath their feet.
When they stand over these symbols, the water beneath them will brightly illuminate and fade back out, creating concentrations of glittering light on the surface of the water. Guests will have the opportunity to interact with the bioluminescent energy of Bahumari, which will trail alongside their steps as sparkling sounds echo from below. Motion sensors located on each side of these bridges will trigger underwater LED lights and projections that will create this glowing effect beside guests.

RUINS REVEALED:
As guests traverse deeper into the experience, they will unveil more of Teluli’s hidden legacy. In a tucked-away corner of the cavern, guests will find several streams of waterfalls running through rocks above. Embedded carvings in the walls will signal guests to run their hands through the length of the water.
When they do this, ethereal sound effects will travel up the space as visuals begin to flourish in front of guests. Projections of abstract, fluid forms travel up the waterfalls and fade away onto the ceiling’s surface, revealing detailed constellation-like structures of the ruins that lie below. Motion sensors will be located behind these streams, sensing when a guest touches the water. This will signal the projection mapping to start, which will blend seamlessly up into the fiber optics on the ceiling.

THE BUNGALOW SUITES
Private villas line the perimeter of Teluli, allowing guests to further connect with the sea and live like Telulians among the tide.
My main focus for the bungalows was to elevate the guest experience, finding every opportunity to bring guests into the story and the vibrant environment of the resort.

MASTER BEDROOM SUITE- ELEVATING THE GUEST EXPERIENCE
Each suite will have connections to the outdoors using NanaWalls, giving full entry to the deck in both the bedroom and bathroom. Sliding doors will allow guests to separate the two spaces, providing privacy and quiet.
ACCESS TO NATURAL LIGHT:
Every room in the bungalows prioritizes its location to the ocean, allowing sun rays that bounce off of the water to cast a bright glow into each space.
PERSONALIZED TIDAL LIGHT SETTINGS:
Guests can adjust the headboard lighting to mirror the ebb and flow of the tides, syncing with the natural rhythms of the Raja Ampat waters. These lighting settings could change based on the time of day, evoking a warm sunset glow or the ethereal sparkle of Bahamari’s bioluminescence at night.

VANITY & SHOWER FEATURES: BECOME ONE WITH THE WATER
When lightly touched or misted by steam, the mirror reveals faint glowing glyphs, oceanic patterns, and hidden messages from Bahumari on each side.
Guests can access wellness features that blend Bahumari’s powers into the experience. The waterfall shower heads have customizable settings, allowing guests to mimic her mist and glowing features.
BATH FEATURES: FLOAT WITH THE CURRENT
A low-vibration setting mimics the feeling of floating atop gentle currents, providing a calming hydrotherapy experience.
ADDITIONAL BRANDING & HANDOUTS
To further develop Teluli Resort, I created postcards that would be purchased in the gift shops by guests and tri-fold brochures that would be given upon arrival, featuring a map that highlights the resort's experiences, dining, shopping, entertainment, recreational activities, etc.
