GENESIS is Ringling College of Art & Design's annual student-run sustainable fashion show.
For the Fall 2023 show, we aimed to create a new experience for the production. Documented below is my creative process and the collaborations I organized leading up to the final show day.

INITIAL IDEATION
Wanting to shed light on the harmful practices of the fast fashion industry, we aimed for an industrial motif that mimicked the destruction of Rana Palaza in Bangladesh, 2013.
From there, I focused on the main centerpiece of the show, which would be placed in the middle of the space. The concept was a collapsable box that would reveal the final clothing piece of the show in a grand finale.  Every component of our design and construction is made from existing or reused materials.
Below are variations through our ideation process of the box's features.
